UNICORN at the London Tech Week: DevOps work models matter!

Efficiently applying a DevOps work model in companies allows to gain agility, flexibility and better performance, thus improving time-to-market. Combined with the benefits of the cloud, it has become one of the keys to digital transformation. However, it is important to underline that security is conditioned by the deployment environment.

These were some of the views on security and code exchanged by UNICORN consortium partner SUITE5 and others participants at the London Tech Week. Discussion focused on areas where security policies are coded and deployed as part of the application.

During this half-day workshop the participants debated the security of cloud environments, and whether elastic, auto-scaling, self-deploying and flexible infrastructures limit the safety of our applications.

At the end of the event, SUITE5 discussed the concept of this HORIZON 2020 project and how this initiative plans to address the aforementioned issues, which caused interest among the attendees of the workshop.

Follow up discussions were made during the networking event and interest for UNICORN has been recorded by the participants, mentioning that the approach seems promising and could prove beneficial to the topics discussed during the session.
