UNICORN project has obtained a very positive feedback at the presentation held in Karlsruhe during the Collaborative European Research Conference (CERC) last week.
Researchers taking part in this event applauded UNICORN focus on the development of adapted cloud services for SMEs and startups.
UNICORN project coordinator, Spiros Alexakis, expressed his satisfaction after the event: “we were able to exchange opinions exchange opinions and had fruitful discussions with an international audience. The project has created a lot of interest”.
Alexakis stressed that this support shows the significance of UNICORN objectives for companies and entrepreneurs needs.
The conclusions will help UNICORN partners to collect the function and non-functional user/system requirements that will drive the development of the UNICORN platform.
UNICORN keeps spreading the word on how to make cloud computing software easier for SMEs and start-ups. With this goal in mind, UNICORN will have a stand and a presentation in Karlsruhe at the CERC Conference this Friday!
The Collaborative European Research Conference (CERC) is a peer reviewed conference that was initiated by a long standing research collaboration between Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) and the Hochschule Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.
It includes new partners from the University of Hagen, Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences along with industry partners, NSilico Life Science and many more.

The CloudWATCH Summit will bring together stakeholders and decision makers across a range of organisations that look to understand the impact of cloud computing, shape policy within the digital single market and take away practical advice for their own organisations. In fact, this is a unique opportunity for decision makers in Europe to come together to understand how cloud computing is an enabler of innovation, growth and jobs in the Digital Single Market. The event will take place in Amsterdam, from September 19 to 20. UNICORN project coordinator, Spiros Alexakis, will participate in this summit.
Innovation is up in the cloud! Net Futures 2017 Conference (28th and 29th of June) is the proof! It will gather European innovators-users and providers of the ICT sector, policy makers and civil society, and will offer a great opportunity for stakeholder engagement, leading towards further developments in the sector. Here are some examples: Concertation meeting. H2020 projects from unit "Cloud and software" will come together on June, 28th. It is a unique context to get to know each other in person, share the best practices, discuss the market and project exploitation possibilities. 'Crazy times'. The 'Minute Madness' format will allow projects participants to briefly present themselves and interact with each other. A 'Unicorn' in the room. This is a great chance for the UNICORN project to present its approach on how to make cloud software easier and safer for SMEs. UNICORN will take part in the above-mentioned 'elevator speech' event. SME's friendly platforms are possible.
